Yes, the walk from Bayside Beach House Mornington to Main Street Mornington is flat, pram-friendly and only -minute walk (approx. 250 metres) from our front door to the beginning of Main Street’s cafes and shops. There are no steep hills or stairs to navigate, making it incredibly easy for families with toddlers, prams, or elderly guests to walk to breakfast, dinner, or the local boutiques without needing to drive.
Is there private parking available at the property?
Yes, parking on the Esplanade and Main Street can be very busy, but our guests skip the hassle entirely. The property includes one dedicated, free off-street private car park located at the rear of the beach house, accessed safely and easily via Canterbury Street.
Does Bayside Beach House Mornington have air conditioning and heating in all bedrooms?
Yes. To guarantee absolute comfort across all seasons, we have recently upgraded the property to feature individual split-system air conditioning and heating units in every bedroom (the King Master, the Queen room, and the kids’ triple bunk room), as well as in the main living area. Every guest can completely customize the climate in their own room.

We are located directly on the Esplanade, immediately opposite Royal Beach (a protected coastal beach with sand and rockpools) and Mornington Park. The park features a massive, top-tier kids' adventure playground, expansive lawns for the kids to kick a ball, and public BBQs. Mother's Beach and the Mornington Pier are also just a short, scenic stroll away.
Can we use Bayside Beach House as a base to explore the rest of the Mornington Peninsula?
Absolutely. While you can easily spend your entire stay on foot in Mornington, we are centrally located for day trips. We are a 15-minute drive to Mount Martha, 20 minutes to the Red Hill wineries and fruit-picking farms, 25 minutes to the Arthurs Seat Eagle chairlift, and just 30 minutes to the Peninsula Hot Springs and world-class golf courses.
